Course Dates

Once you have completed the online course available through Football Federation Australia, you will be then required to attend the 1 day Orientation Course to become qualified to referee in the Nepean district competition. You must email graham@nepeanrefereesgroup.com.au your completed certificate in advance of you attending the orientation course. All new referees must attend a date titled ‘orientation course’ which is below, all other qualified referees dates for 2018 have been highlighted below.

Our orientation course dates for 2018 are as follows:

  • Saturday February 3rd
  • Saturday March 3rd
  • Saturday March 10th (NB: To celebrate Female Football week this date is reserved for females only)
  • Saturday March 24th
  • Saturday April 14th
  • Saturday April 28th
  • Saturday May 12th
  • Saturday June 9th
  • Saturday June 30th

We strongly recommend you attend the sessions in February or March so we can get you refereeing early on in the season. Our referee courses commence at 8.30am for registration and the day concludes at 3.15pm. All courses are held at the 9/51 York Road South Penrith unless advised otherwise.

Register your details by going to our website and filling in the form titled ‘become a referee’ and we will communicate with you once we have received your form.

Our online course is free. To attend our orientation day the cost is $75. Once qualified to referee there are 2 more financial steps to becoming a referee. 1. You must officially register with the Nepean Referees group for $85 as a first year referee and 2. You will need to purchase your uniform kit at a cost of approximately $200 all inclusive.

Level 3 Referees Course (this is only for qualified level 4 referees and providing you have been refereeing for one year)

  • Saturday 10th February

  • Additional courses will be run by Football NSW, see our branch coach if the above date is not suitable

Level 2 Referees Course (this is only for Qualified level 3 referees and providing you have been a Level 3 referee for one year)

  • Saturday 24th February
  • Additional courses will be run by Football NSW, see our branch coach if the above date is not suitable

Level 3 Assessors course

  • Sunday 18th of February
  • Additional courses will be run by Football NSW, see our branch coach if the above date is not suitable.
